Cholesterol is divided into Low Density Lipoproteins (LDLs), which is known as ‘bad cholesterol’, and High Density Lipoproteins (HDLs), known as ‘good cholesterol’. Too high a level of bad cholesterol can impact health, especially, if combined with high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes or a family history of coronary heart disease under the age of 55. Testing of employees helps them to protect their health by changing their diet or taking more exercise if necessary.
