Night worker assessment
There is extra legal protection for people classed as night workers, ie between the hours of 11pm and 6am. As there are health risks linked with night work, employers must offer employees a free health assessment before they start working at night and on a regular basis after that. Generally this is done once a year, but employers could offer a health assessment more frequently. Employers are advised to get help from a suitably qualified health professional when devising and assessing the health assessments.
